2008 Dragway Rules

BASIC RULES  

9” Maximum Width…30” Maximum Length…10” Maximum Height  

10lb Maximum Weight – will be weighed in by Official DMC scale each night  

Weight will be by Official DMC Scale ONLY  

NO engines…NO propulsion of ANY kind  

One valve cover per chassis…NO switching chassis or covers  

American automotive valve covers ONLY with stock gasket surface

NOTHING (including wheels) can be mounted in front or back of either the valve cover or the chassis; can mount on outside edge, but total width cannot be more than 9”  

NO moving or movable weight  

 

One CLASS for 2008 

Stock Drivers…up to 16 years old…Drivers must stage valve cover (no assistance from anyone including crew chief, pit crew, mom or dad); exception - DMC Official can place valve cover on track to assist participant if needed, but participant will have to line the valve cover up for the race); Basic Rules apply  


SCHEDULE  

This activity is limited to the first 20 participants signed up because of time constraints; if the limit is reached prior to 6:15pm - then the activity will begin, if not, the rules below are followed. Participants have to be signed in by 6:15pm in order to race because it takes time to prepare the line up and set up the race board; late entries will not be able to participate.

All entries must be signed up and valve covers weighed in by Official DMC scale prior to 6:15pm; after valve covers are weighed, they will be placed on a staging table and held until race

Racing starts on the all new DMC Dragway (24 feet long and 3 feet high) immediately after all entered valve covers are weighed by Official DMC scale
